January was a busy month with Follett Challenge voting, Book Fair and 4th graders making 10 second Reading ADs. Many choose to use the Greenscreen.
Diana and I will be heading to TCEA next week. We have one session to present at one of the Academies. Reading, technology and mix it with a game features...we tried it and had some success and some failures to share...

Bluebonnet ES & Park Glen ES have 80 STEM BOXES TO GO available for check out by our students. As fast as we can restock them...they are checked out. Go to our "STEM BOXES TO GO CHALLENGES" on this website to see the great "design-thinking" that our students are doing.
Each school has 40 boxes (10 boxes for each of the challenges)and half-way through the year we will exchange our boxes so our student will get new challenges. There are 8 challenges currently available to challenge our students.
2016 is under way
We have a few new things added this year to our iCentre.
1- Lego Shelf Wall...It was easy to create! 1 shelf unit cleared of books. Lego Base plates. Liquid nails. Lego and painters tape.
3- Robot permits / licenses : make make challenges and indepth exploration of the robots.
4- OSMO Monster and Coding
We are excited to add some new items for your 21st century learners to explore this year.
1- Our 3D printer we purchased with our Follett Challenge award funds is going to be a fantastic experience.
2- We are also going to be expanding our robot experience by the addition of WonderBots and Ozobots.
3- STEM mystery bags and challenge boxes will add some fun challenges.
4- The addition of a green screen area should bring new movie making possibilities.
